What is Email Trace?

This feature allows you to review details about email delivery attempts for your accounts. You can also trace an email's delivery route with this feature.

A results table will include details about each delivery attempt. This can be useful for locating problems with email delivery.

To see the delivery status of an email:

1. Enter a recipient email address in the search box.
2. Click Run Report.

cPanel displays the Delivery Report table and the Email Address Trace diagram.

Entering an email address in the search box is not necessary to generate a report, but will result in shorter, faster report generation.

This table shows the results of your search.

• Click any category header to sort your results by that category.
• Click Table Options to select the columns you wish to view.
• Click the magnifying glass icon under the Actions column to view or print event details.

This diagram displays the route of an email message.
